As with the 1918 visit, Bohème, in the Beecham repertoire, required a make-weight piece to provide a full evening's entertainment. The charming pastiche opera-ballet Phoebus and Pan, adapted by the young conductor Eugene Goossens, jnr, from the works of Bach, once again filled the bill. There were several cast changes in the Puccini, most notably the appearance of Miriam Licette taking on the role of Mimì.
Abbreviated cast details are compiled from reviews in the Scotsman and Dundee Evening Telegraph of 18 September 1919. It is reported that Percy Heming was, on this occasion, unable to continue after the first act, when his place was taken by William Michael, who had sung the role the year before.
