A subsequent review in the Scotsman of Wednesday, 25 January (p2) is enthusiastic:-

''On Monday evening Les Huguenots was again performed to one of the largest and most brilliant audiences ever assembled within the walls of the theatre,  every portion of the house being completely filled.   Having already fully noticed the previous representations of this most effective opera, it may suffice for the present to say that the performance of Monday night was highly successful, and seemed to afford intense satisfaction to the crowded auditory.

''The great demand for places to witness the three remaining performances, a demand which it is impossible to supply to the full extent, is a convincing demonstration that the public appetite for this elevated species of entertainment is not yet sated.

''We understand that subscribers who have not yet exhausted their subscriptions will be entitled to do so on the company's return from Glasgow.   Due intimation of this, we have no doubt, will be given, and it would be well if subscribers would at once avail themselves of the earliest opportunity of securing their tickets.''
