The Scotsman (11 April) mentioned only the name of the conductor. The Glasgow Herald review of the same date gave slightly more information, but also pointed out that the audience was not what the opera, and indeed the performance, deserved.
Carl Rosa Opera's Scottish visit in 1938 consisted of one week in Edinburgh, followed by two weeks in Glasgow.
