A short review (giving the principal singers) is given in the Glasgow Herald (24 April).

Joseph Satariano was described as good, but sounding rather tired; Helen Ogilvie was described as a familiar Leonora, and John Myrrdin sang well but came over as cold in his expressions of love. The new Azucena, Patricia Black, sang well but 'lost fulness of the low notes.'
