Performance details were given in the Glasgow Herald (24 June).
The reviewer said "The performance, without scaling any great heights, again showed the generally pleasing standard reached on this visit. There was an appealing Marguerite in Estelle Valery, a vocally unsteady Siebel in Pauline Allen, an imposing Mephistopheles in Stanislav Pieczora, and a fine upstanding Valentin in John Heddle Nash.
''In the title role, Charles Craig was, as he has been over the fortnight, intelligent and musical in all his work. The orchestral playing under Arthur Hammond was also of good quality."
