It is surely an indication of just how much Dame Janet Baker had enjoyed her numerous visits to Haddo over the years, that she should choose to give her final performance in Scotland at one of her favourite venues, and with some of her favourite musicians. It was nearly three years since she had sung in the central belt.
Anthony Roden and Stephen Roberts were enjoying distinguished careers, but this must have become an important memory for them both.
