Bruckner's Masses do not get performed anything like as often as his Te Deum, and even that is quite a rarity.
This Spanish conductor spent much of his career in Germany. The three British soloists were quite familiar. The newcomer is Florence Quivar, who also sang in the first half of the concert. A single work was given - - the Wesendonck Lieder, This was highly appropriate given Bruckner's near-worship of Wagner.
