An mpressive quartet of soloists travelled to Aberdeen for this Verdi Requiem. The Sunday afternoon performance quickly sold out, so a decision was taken to admit a paying audience to the dress rehearsal on Saturday evening. Tickets for this extra treat were priced at 2/6d.
Many soloists thoroughly enjoyed performing in the timber hall at Haddo and returned regularly - Janet Baker being a particularly notable example.
