Lohengrin may not seem an obvious choice for managements to place in the Saturday matinee slot, but that was done consistently in the spring 1908 tour. Also consistent was the casting, with the four major roles and the baton in the same hands throughout.
The cast for 21 March is from a programme in Aberdeen City Library. All roles except the Herald on 21 March are as described in a preview in the Dundee Courier and Argus. As was usual at this time, if Saturday performances were reviewed at all they were given cursory treatment, and only the two lead singers are mentioned on this occasion.
