Flight received its Scottish premiere at the New Athenaeum Theatre of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) on 24 June 2006.

The production was directed by Will Kerley and conducted by Timothy Dean. 

The cast of students included Reno Troilus as the Refugee and Carla Caramujo as the Controller, along with Chris Elliott and Matthew Marriott as Bill; Helene Dahlberg ( Tina); Anders Östberg and Susan Boyd (Steward and Stewardess); James Arthur and Alexandra Cassidy (Minskman and Minskwoman).

Also participating were Louise Collett, who would go on to be a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist for the 2009/10 Season (Older Woman) and Aaron McAuley (Immigration Officer).
