Miranda Sinani Suggest updates

Born Tirana.

Albanian soprano.

Miranda Sinani started her musical training at the National Music College in Tirana, and moved to England in 2001. She gained a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester in 2005, a PGDip at the RNCM in 2006 and a Master of Opera at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2008. She was a 2002 finalist of the Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Award for Young Singers representing the RNCM, winner of the Frederic Cox Award (RNCM, 2005) and a Joyce and Michael Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss finalist (RNCM, 2005).


During the Scottish Opera 2009/10 Season she appeared in the chorus of The Elixir of Love and on the Opera Highlights tour, becoming a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist.

Operatic engagements include Despina Così fan tutte (Clonter Opera); Echo Ariadne auf Naxos, Despina, Giulietta The Tales of Hoffmann (RSAMD); Miss Hemingford Marianne Dreams – world première (Sadler’s Wells, London); title role Princess Ida (Buxton).
