The first Glasgow performance on this tour was announced for Wednesday 25 April, but the irreplaceable Zélie de Lussan was indisposed.

A different programme was substituted - Gluck's recently revived Orfeo in an unusual coupling with Cavalleria Rusticana. But perhaps she wasn't so irreplaceable - for Marie Duma came in for at least one performance, according to the advertisements.

The November cast is taken from the programme for 20 November surviving in the Mitchell Collection.
