French conductor.
Press reviews and advertisements seem almost equally divided over the spelling of Jaquinot (or Jacquinot). He spent several years with the Carl Rosa company, leading performances of a wide range of operas. An undoubted highlight of his career was leading the British premiere of La bohème (Manchester 1897), one week before he introduced it to Glasgow. Puccini and his publisher Tito Ricordi travelled to Manchester to hear it.
