This production was dominated by Bernard Culshaw's cheerful set - a series of seaside tent-like structures, easily shifted by two silent servants, who were dressed in equally cheerful Pierrot costumes.
When the company mounted its first full-scale Pasquale in 1972, Norman White played the Notary, and understudied the charismatic Michael Langdon in the title role. He was able to appear in a couple of performances that didn't fit Langdon's schedule. Josephine McQueen, as well as singing Violetta and Norina with Opera For All, appeared in Spring 1970 as Marzelline in Scottish Opera's new full-scale Fidelio.
