For its final run of fourteen performances, David Pountney's entertaining 1974 Flute staging returned to its roots as a medium-scale venture visiting venues unable to take the full company, but still using a size of orchestra and chorus quite appropriate for the works in question.

This time, Toby Robertson's staging of Figaro toured with it. Both casts included distinctly well-known names, as well as those (such as Marie Slorach and Linda Ormiston) who would soon become so. And a brief glance down the list of chorus members reveals a bass called Donald McAlpine. an early appearance by Donald Maxwell. A final, single performance was given as part of the main Edinburgh season, for which Yvonne Kenny, and some other players from the autumn's Glasgow cast, returned.

Cast details are from the programme for the first six performances (as far as Crewe). Later ones to be confirmed. Edinburgh performance Spring season programme is in NLS.
