Read more about the opera Caractacus

The Dundee choir had performed Elgar's King Olaf a couple of times, and in 1923 had given the first local performance of Gerontius. This seems to be their first performance of Caractacus, for which a superb group of soloists was assembled.

The concert began with Sir Hubert Parry's Milton setting Blest Pair of Sirens.
