Dundee Amateur Choral Union Suggest updates

An amateur choir which has operated in Dundee since its foundation in 1858, with performances only interrupted by the two World Wars. More recently known simply as Dundee Choral Union.

Its first conductor was a Prussian immigrant, from Danzig, Henry Nagel, who directed it for twenty-five years. Composers who came to conduct their own works included Sir Michael Costa, Sir Arthur Sullivan and Sir Alexander Mackenzie.
