Scottish Opera’s second production of Carmen, this was a co-production with Welsh National, and bringing back the production team of Patrice Caurier and Moshe Leiser, who had previously directed La belle Hélène.
After the delights of the Offenbach this was perhaps a slight disappointment - nothing much wrong with it, but expectations of this team's work were perhaps too high.
Patricia Bardon however gave an impressive performance in the title role.
