Cast details for the Saturday 12 May matinee are from a programme in the OperaScotland collection, and for 30 April are from a short review in the Daily Record (1 May), which did not see fit to name the conductor.

"the opera...well deserved the full house and enthusiastic reception. However the other characters in this work may perform, it is mainly on Azucena, the half-mad gypsy woman, that the dramatic sense depends, and in this role Miss Gladys Parr's performance left nothing to be desired, and her singing had many admirable features."
