This concert by Glasgow Choral Union and the Scottish Orchestra consists of two high quality but infrequently performed works, Berlioz's Enfance du Christ followed by the Bruckner Te Deum.
The Scotsman review the next day is very economical with information, and does not even mention a conductor. There were five soloists - Lillian Stiles-Allen (soprano), Henry Wendon (tenor) and Norman Walker (bass) will have been required for both works. The alto, Margaret F Dick, was needed for the Bruckner, while the baritone Roy Henderson will have sung Joseph in the Berlioz.
