Lisa Milne Suggest updates

Born Aberdeen.

Scottish soprano.

Lisa Milne studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, winning the 1993 Maggie Teyte prize. At Glyndebourne in 1996 she was awarded the John Christie prize.  She appeared with Haddo House and Scottish Opera while still a student.

Her professional opera debut was as Giannetta in L'elisir d'amore with Scottish Opera, and her later roles with the company included Ilia, Despina, Susanna, Adele, Adina and Semele.

She sang Pamina Magic Flute and Susanna at the Metropoltan Opera, and roles at Glyndebourne Festival Opera, ENO and Welsh National Opera.

She received an MBE in 2005.
