Read more about the opera Nabucco

The autumn 2007 tour was dominated by the ever-popular Carmen, receiving twice as many outings as Nabucco. These performances were given on three separate visits to Scotland - with Dundee missing out on this occasion, only getting Carmen.

The production was most enjoyable, with attractive traditional designs and a good cast. Several of the names - Nabucco himself, Ismaele and Fenena, were unfamiliar. The infrequency of performances may have been to give the sole Abigaille a rest - for she was also cast as Mercédès in Carmen.

The cast is as shown in the programme brochure, amended in accordance with the insert for 15 September.
