Figaro is an enormously challenging work for an amateur group to take on, with the recitatives to be kept alive and comic timing to be mastered. Donald Maxwell, at least, picked up such details very quickly.
Costumes for this staging were hired in from Scottish Opera - whether John Stoddart's excellent designs for the just-retired Anthony Besch production, or from general stock, is not clear.
Cast information from the Courier - further details to be confirmed.
