Cast information is taken from the Glasgow Herald of Monday, 17 June.  "...conducted by Anthony Addison, whose only weakness was in choice of tempo - once or twice just too fast for word clarity, more often leisurely to the point of robbing the comedy of some of its sparkle."

The reviewer found 'a slightly lugubrious Rosina', ' a tight-voiced Almaviva', and 'a ripe Don Basilio'.

"Most convincing, and most successful in making opera in English intelligible, were the Figaro of John Heddle Nash and the Doctor Bartolo - another fine characterisation - of Joseph Satariano."

Carl Rosa Opera's last performances in Scotland were as follows:-

Week commencing 10 June: Mon Carmen; Tue Cav & Pag; Wed Bohème; Thu Hoffmann; Fri Benvenuto Cellini; Sat m Barber of Seville; Sat e Trovatore.
