Abbreviated cast details are drawn from a review in the Scotsman (8 March).
"...the music was spendidly rendered, recalls being numerous and cordial. Mr Hedmondt, vocally and dramatically, carried off the honours of the afternoon, and at the end of his able performance in the title role he was presented with a handsome staff decorated with flowers. Mr Dillon Shallard sang with effect as Wolfram, and Mr Frederick Clendon also did excellent work. Miss Beatrice Miranda achieved a large measure of success as Elisabeth, and Madame Marie Alexander as venus interpreted well the exacting opening passages. chorally the performance was an artistic trat, the singing in the Hall of song scene in particular being admirably done. The orchestra, under the direction of Mr Eugene Goossens, lent valuable service, the overture music especially being capably rendered."
The company's Scottish performances in 1909 involved one week at the Alexandria, Greenock, one week at the New Gaiety, Ayr followed by two at Edinburgh's King's Theatre and two at the Glasgow Grand.
