New in September

This month the OperaScotland team have been busy on a variety of fronts.

Casts have been entered for Alcina (2016); Bohème (2016); Carmen (2016); and Elixir of Love (2016).

Also for Madama Butterfly (1995; 2016); Marriage of Figaro (1995) and Tannhäuser (2016).

Amongst other things we have been uploading more images of programme covers, showing just how styles have changed down the years.

We have been drumming up support for the exhibition regarding the Carl Rosa Opera Company at Liverpool Central Library, to be opened on Saturday 19 November and displayed until 23 December, free entrance. Please attend if you can.

Finally we have been continuing to research the early years of Carl Rosa for a chapter in a book provisionally called "The Carl Rosa Story" under the auspices of the Carl Rosa Trust.

Later we plan to write a full biography of the great man himself.
