Douglas Gordon Nairne.

Born Fife.

Scottish baritone.

Douglas Nairne studied at the Alexander Gibson Opera School of the RCS, graduating M Mus in 2012. He also trained in London at the Guildhall (Advanced Masters with Distinction).

His operatic experience includes Sid, Tarquinius and Papageno at the Opera School in Glasgow. He has also sung Morales (Opera on a Shoestring), Dancairo (Haddo House), Silvio (Lakeland Opera), and Don Giovanni (Fife Opera). With Opera Bohemia his roles include Marcello and Enrico. He has worked as a cover with Scottish Opera, Dorset Opera, and the Garsington Festival.

Concert appearances include the Requiems by Britten, Fauré and Brahms. in addition to Messiah and Carmina Burana, and he has appeared with the Ulster Orchestra and Ulster Youth Choir, as well as leading the singing at Murrayfield rugby internationals.  With Alistair Digges, he is co-founder of Opera Bohemia
