Two members of Opera Scotland's team caught Puccini's Tosca in cut-down form at Dundee College recently. Many people across Scotland will be familiar with these mini performances, now in their third year. The team from Scottish Opera consisted of storyteller Lissa Lorenzo, with a lively telling of this dramatic story, cleverly linking excerpts sung by well-known soprano Rachel Hynes, accompanied by Sharron Griffiths (harp) and Sonia Cromarty (cello). Also helping were education manager Judith Riddell and Melissa Morton from marketing. The atmospheric arrangement was by that remarkable musician, Derek Clark, who had also worked with Lissa on the script. A sizeable audience heard the performance, which was much appreciated. Bill Dower of Dundee College kindly supplied the photos.
