The new ENO production of Berlioz's Benvenuto Cellini (billed inevitably as Terry Gilliam's in his lively staging) is being shown live at 7pm on Tuesday 17 June in cinemas across Scotland. OperaScotland welcomes the chance to see rarely performed operas, or unusual productions, and so our policy has been to list live screenings. This is something that is quite manageable with the Met (nine Scottish venues) and Glyndebourne (five Scottish venues). But currently the Royal Opera now transmit to twenty-five, and ENO Screen to twenty-four for Cellini.
You can catch the live performance at the following cinemas:- Aberdeen Cineworld; Aberfeldy Birks; Dundee Cineworld; Dundee Odeon Douglasfield; Dunfermline Odeon; East Kilbride Odeon; Edinburgh Cineworld Fountain Park; Edinburgh Picturehouse Cameo; Edinburgh Dominion; Edinburgh Vue Oceanworld; Falkirk Cineworld; Glasgow Cineworld Renfrew St; Glasgow Odeon Springfield Quay; Glasgow Fort; Glasgow Empire Clydebank; Glasgow Showcase Baillieston; Hamilton Vue; Inverness Eden Court; Kilmarnock Odeon; Kirkcaldy Adam Smith Theatre; Oban Phoenix; Paisley Showcase; Stirling MacRobert; Thurso Cinema.
We have linked them to the booking office where the weblink is easily available - click through to book your tickets. Please check the precise timing at the venue of your choice. Should we continue to list them? Do you find the service useful? In what ways can we better meet your needs?
