The Return of Kaspar Hauser

This striking piece by composer Rory Boyle and librettist Dilys Rose is to return to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. At its world premiere in March 2010, this new opera won widespread critical acclaim and international recognition. This time the work is to be given in Nuremburg first, not only where the drama surrounding the historic figure of Kaspar Hauser was played out, but also one of Glasgow's twin cities. The production, to be given in both Edinburgh and Glasgow in April, will be conducted by Jessica Cottis and will include singers from the Nuremburg Hochschule. Read more here
