That rare event, the launch of a recording of an opera made in Scotland, is announced for October. The opera, Breathe Freely, is by Scottish composer Julian Wagstaff.
For those wanting to hear more of Julian's music, he is presenting his show Song to Me at the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Song to Me will include music from Breathe Freely, and in addition extracts from his music theatre piece John Paul Jones, his opera The Turing Test and selected instrumental works such as A Persistent Illusion.
The show, compered by the composer, is being performed in the glorious acoustic of St Mark's Church, Castle Terrace in Edinburgh's West End.
Wagstaff's the Turing Test was a sell-out at the Fringe in 2007 - so book your tickets soon - click through here.
