Countdown to Tosca relaunch

Posted 23 Apr 2012

Scottish Opera's final main stage production of the season is the revival of Puccini's masterpiece Tosca, which is to open on 4 May at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow.  The late Anthony Besch's Mussolini-era production was a hit from its very first outing, and was quickly accepted as a classic - the staging has since been seen in many parts of the world.  Peter Rice's striking sets and costumes were just right. Although photographs of the new cast are not available until after the dress rehearsal, we have some from the 2004 performances here.  Look at our archive page too to read about Fanny Moody here.
