The audiences for New York's Metropolitan Opera at cinema screenings in Scotland continue to grow. Apart from live 'immediate' screenings, relays of what the Met brands as 'Encores' continue also. We have posted in our listings the summer screenings of their Ring cycle. For those opera buffs who have not encountered such a screening in a cinema auditorium, please accept the Met are offering customers a great experience. The packages on offer at cinemas are remarkable value, too. The screenings include a documentary on the making of the Ring - Wagner's Dream - and then Rhinegold, Valkyrie, Siegfried and Twilight of the Gods. Please check timings and prices with the venue - click through the entry on our listings and then the pin on the map to get to the venue website.
In this relatively quiet time of year for staged opera, surely the temptation to see the Ring is a real one. After all, when will we see it on stage in Scotland again?
