The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland have announced their programme for the coming season.
Once again there is much to interest the opera buff. The main item on the bill is the annual production in January, this time of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, with conductor Tim Dean, director Ashley Dean, designer Cordelia Chisholm and lighting designer Richard Howell (16,17,19 and 24 January)
First, however, on 26 November there is a Vocal Masterclass with James Gilchrist.
On 5 December, there is the by-now traditional Emerging Artists concert, supported by Head of Opera Tim Dean and Head of Music at Scottish Opera, Derek Clark.
In addition, the talented postgraduate students on the MMus Opera course show off their paces in Opera Scenes ((4 & 6 December)
On 12 January, too, there is an hour-length concert by the RCS Brass Ensemble entitled An Hour at the Opera.
