New Royal Conservatoire season

Posted 19 Jan 2016

Come and experience the work of the next generation of stars selected from Scotland's multi-disciplinary Conservatoire.

Watch students drawn from all over the world deliver performances as a key part of their training. The new season's offerings include Così fan tutte (with an extra perfomance in Perth for those that cannot travel to Glasgow).

Next we have Two Russian Tales, both one-act operas taken from stories by Pushkin and Chekhov respectively - Stravinsky's Mavra and Walton's The Bear.

Then in May we have Britten's Owen Wingrave for four performances - the first ever in Glasgow and only the second time the work has been performed in Scotland. The production is directed by Oliver Platt, designed by Cordelia Chisholm with lighting design is by Alex Kilgour. Timothy Dean conducts.

There are also three programmes of Opera Scenes in March, May and June, and a Masterclass by Donald Runnicles. For details see our listings.
