Haydn's opera L'isola disabitata (The Desert Island) is to be given a rare outing.
Although the performance, originally scheduled for 12 May at Glasgow Cathedral, has been postponed due to scheduling issues, it will eventually be performed in a staged version. Details will be posted on OperaScotland when they are available.
Opera dei Lumi are giving the performance, with soloists drawn from the Glasgow Cathedral Choir including Beth Margaret Taylor, Emma Mockett, Robert Forrest and Jonathan Forbes Kennedy. The conductor is Peter Keenan.
The performance is being given in aid of Alzheimer Scotland, the leading dementia organisation in Scotland.
