Puccini's comic gem Gianni Schicchi is to be performed by Opera Bohemia first on the Fringe and then at Kirkcaldy, Greenock and Glasgow. An outstanding cast includes BBC Kiri prize winner Shuna Sendall, Scottish Opera Emerging Artist Andrew McTaggart, Royal Opera House debutant Andrew Dickinson and Scottish favourite Alan Watt. Tom Cooper offers a wealth of theatrical and directing experience to bring this intimate one-act opera to life. Guaranteeing an evening of laughter and beautiful music (including one of opera's favourite arias 'O mio babbino caro'), this is a perfect opportunity for opera newbies and regulars alike.
Opera Bohemia are celebrating five years' life on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In addition to Gianni Schicchi, they are reviving their production of Bohème, taking it on to Rutherglen. To be revived also is their fine interpretation of Madam Butterfly, touring to Stranraer, Ayr, Bathgate and Crail.
