Festival goers will fortunately be able to hear some pre-eminent Wagnerians when a concert performance of Tristan und Isolde is given in the Usher Hall. Ben Heppner and Jennifer Wilson (pictured), are singers who have yet to appear in Scotland on the operatic stage. They join Welsh National Opera's stellar cast led by acclaimed music director Lothar Koenigs to perform this great work. Jennifer Wilson is an American who came late to professional opera. She is now renowned for her interpretations of Wagner's dramatic roles. Canadian Ben Heppner has a long established reputation, having performed for many years in the world's major houses. Matthew Best is fondly remembered for his many appearances with Scottish Opera. Check our listings for more details and click through to book tickets here.
