Now in its seventh successful year, the Royal Conservatoire's ambitious winter collaboration with Scottish Opera continues with a third Prokofiev work, following the success of Love for Three Oranges (2009) and War and Peace (2010). Based on Sheridan's play, The Duenna, this very human comedy celebrates love for the young and the not so young.
Singers from the Royal Conservatoire's opera programme perform with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, who act as mentors for the students. If perhaps you have yet to see one of these productions, don't miss this one! The standards show that many of the cast could make a career in the challenging world of opera.
