Puccini's marvellous one act comedy Gianni Schicchi is packed with action and music both wonderful and familiar. People hearing this work for the first time think, 'so this is where that music comes from'.
Scotland's second professional touring company launched the production at the Edinburgh Festival, and got well deserved rave reviews. Now this marvellous cast sets out on tour, led by BBC Kiri Prize winner Shuna Sendall, Scottish Opera Emerging Artist Andrew McTaggart and Scottish favourite Alan Watt. Tom Cooper offers a wealth of theatrical and operatic directing experience to bring this intimate production to life. Guaranteeing an evening of laughter and beautiful music (including one of opera's favourite arias 'O mio babbino caro'), Gianni Schicchi is perfect for opera newbies and regular goers alike.
Come and see how far the Donati family will go to secure their fortune!
