Welcome to an exciting new venture, *“Opera Scotland”*.

You will be able to find listings of opera performances of all kinds here from throughout Scotland. You can read news, views, reviews and interviews about our wonderful art form.

The idea for the site came because the ‘Opera Scotland’ team have missed performances through not picking up publicity or information in a variety of places.

Not all companies are as good at publicity as they are at performing. At “Opera Scotland” our team believes there are more performances in Scotland than are generally realised, and we aim to publish details. With your help and support, no more need publicity be buried amongst thousands of other activities.

Above all, our aim is for you to enjoy ‘Opera Scotland’ and opera in Scotland. It is for people who regularly go to performances and for people who have not been to any – yet.
