Exciting programme at Royal Conservatoire

Posted 27 Dec 2014

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland have confirmed details of their programme for the first half of the New Year. Already publicised for January are performances of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, that evergreen masterpiece that many claim is the greatest opera ever written - see our listings here.

Purcell's Dido and Aeneas is coupled with an outrageous comic rarity, Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias, for performances in March listed here. Click through the map pin and book your tickets

Finally, in May, there are performances of another little known work, Ralph Vaughn Williams's  Sir John in Love, which as far as we know has only been performed once previously in Scotland. Check out the performances here. Click through the map pin and book tickets!

We cannot recommend these performances too highly. The casts are of post graduate students seeking to make their careers in opera, and the performances are prepared and managed by seasoned professionals. There is undoubtedly going to be much to enjoy, and we are already looking forward to them.
