Judgment of Paris

On Thursday 25 October, there is a rare presentation of Judgment of Paris at the Byre Theatre in St Andrews. This historically important masque has music by John Eccles with words by the great Restoration dramatist William Congreve.
The production has been significantly rethought since its last St Andrews appearance in order to link with scientific ideas of Newton's time. It represents the fruit of SHINE: Science meets Opera, a collaboration between Byre Opera in partnership with the University of St Andrews School of Physics and Astronomy.
