The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland have announced their programme for the new season. In November, they are to follow their recent success with Poppea by staging the second of Monteverdi's late masterpieces Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria in the Opera Studio.
For some years now, they have co-produced work with Scottish Opera. However, due to the redevelopment of Glasgow's Theatre Royal, in January 2014 they will be performing Mozart's La clemenza di Tito in the New Athenaeum theatre at the Conservatoire.
We can also look forward to some other public events - a master class with Sir Thomas Allen, the now traditional recital by Scottish Opera's emerging artists and an evening of Opera Scenes.
Finally there is to be an opera concert with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and singers associated with the Conservatoire - a performance will be held in both Glasgow and Edinburgh in February. Check out our listings for details.
